Tense denotes the time of a verb. The word tense comes from the Latin word “tempus" or time.
There are three types of tenses we can find.
In a sentence when the action or activity is done in present time its call present tense of the verb in the sentence.
Ex. I play football.The verbs that denote the action which was done in the past time are said to be the past tense
Ex. I played football.The verbs that denote the action which will be done in the future time are said to be in the Future tense
Ex: I shall play football.
